Introduction
Welcome to CropCalc (“the App”). Appixer Technologies respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it.
CropCalc helps farmers, traders, and mandi users calculate kaat and settlements, view daily rates, check local weather, convert units, and share receipts. You do not need to register or log in.
Your calculations, saved history, settings, custom crops, and the optional “Shared by” name stay on your device. We do not operate an account system, and we do not upload your weights, rates, settlement amounts, or receipt names to an Appixer server.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how third-party services (including Google Firebase, WeatherAPI.com, and Google AdMob) handle data, and what rights you have under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and Google Play Developer Policies).
Data that stays on your device
- No account required. You do not need to register, log in, or provide personal credentials to use CropCalc.
- Settlements stay local. Gross weight, kaat, expenses, net weight, the final amount, saved history, and calculator settings remain on your device (local storage).
- Shared by name. If you save a name or shop for receipts, that text stays on your device and appears only on receipts you choose to share or save.
- CropCalc Plus flag. An on-device flag records whether CropCalc Plus is active, so ads stay off and history export stays available until Google Play reports that the plan has lapsed.
Device permissions
CropCalc requests system permissions only for the features below. On iOS, the App asks for the equivalent location, notification, and photo-library access when you use those features.
Approximate location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION)
- Purpose
- Show local weather for your area. Location is optional; the calculator works without it.
- Data handling
- Approximate coordinates are sent to WeatherAPI.com to fetch the forecast. CropCalc does not build a location history. A recent forecast may stay cached on your device for offline viewing.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
- Purpose
- Optional alerts for rate updates and announcements.
- Data handling
- You can turn each topic off in Settings. Google Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers the alerts. We do not keep a profile of who you are.
Save to gallery (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, Android 9 and below)
- Purpose
- Save a receipt image to your gallery when you ask.
- Data handling
- The image is written on your device. Newer Android versions save through the system photo library without this broad storage permission.
Google Play Billing
- Purpose
- Optional CropCalc Plus subscription.
- Data handling
- Google Play processes the payment. CropCalc does not collect card, wallet, or other payment details.

Services that receive data
Some features need another service. Their processing is governed by their own policies.
- Daily mandi rates. The App reads a published rates catalog from Google Cloud Firestore. That catalog is the same for everyone. Your calculations are not written into it. Live rates need an internet connection.
- Weather. When you allow location, approximate coordinates are sent to WeatherAPI.com so it can return current conditions and the forecast.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, the App subscribes to rate-update and announcement topics. Google holds the device token used to deliver them. Turning a topic off in Settings stops that subscription.
- Analytics. Firebase Analytics records feature events such as the crop and kaat type you used, whether a calculation included expenses, the weight input mode, language, and whether a share or subscription step happened. These events do not include weights, rates, settlement amounts, or your Shared by name.
- Crash reports. Firebase Crashlytics receives stack traces when the App fails, so we can fix crashes. Reports do not include weights, rates, or names.
- Remote Config. Firebase Remote Config can send app settings, such as a minimum supported version or ad limits. It is not used to read your calculations.
For more on Google’s Firebase services, see Firebase privacy information.
Advertising and Google AdMob
To keep CropCalc free, the App integrates Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Ad formats may include banner, interstitial, native, app open, and rewarded ads. While CropCalc Plus is active, the App does not request ads.
Data collected by Google AdMob
Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process certain data automatically for ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency capping, and ad reporting:
- Device identifiers. Android Advertising ID (AAID) and IDFA.
- IP address. Used for coarse location (country or city level) to serve relevant ads.
- Diagnostic and performance data. Ad response times, crash logs, and interaction metrics.
Consent (Google User Messaging Platform)
- EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Before serving ads, CropCalc presents Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form where Google requires it. You can choose whether to grant consent for personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or ad measurement.
- Managing consent. You can manage or revoke your advertising choices in the App’s Settings screen (Ad privacy choices) when that option is available, or through Android system settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset or delete advertising ID.
For more details on how Google uses data, visit Google Privacy & Terms for Advertising.
CropCalc Plus
CropCalc Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription billed by Google Play. While Plus is active, CropCalc does not request ads, and you can export your calculation record as a CSV file on your device.
You can cancel anytime from Google Play subscriptions. Canceling stops the next renewal. Plus stays active until the period you already paid for ends. CropCalc does not receive your card or wallet details.
Data retention and deletion
- Deleting items. You can delete saved calculations inside the App. Custom crops and the Shared by name can be changed or cleared in Settings.
- Complete local removal. Uninstalling CropCalc deletes local history, settings, and files created by the App from your device.
- Third-party data. Data processed by Google, WeatherAPI.com, or other services named in this policy is kept according to those providers’ retention practices.
Children’s privacy
CropCalc is a general audience application intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through third-party ad networks, contact us at contact@appixer.com so we can assist.
GDPR and CCPA
European Economic Area and UK (GDPR)
- Legal basis for processing. On-device settlements are processed to provide the calculator you request. Location and notification data are processed only when you turn those features on. Ad-related processing is based on consent gathered via the UMP consent dialog where required. Analytics and crash reports are used to operate and secure the App, and they exclude settlement amounts, weights, and names.
- Your rights. Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your data, and to withdraw ad consent at any time.
California (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not sell your personal information. Third-party ad partners (Google AdMob) may process device identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising, subject to your opt-out preferences.
Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect your privacy. Settlement history stays on your device and is protected by your device’s operating system security (for example, PIN, fingerprint, or encryption). We do not keep a server database of your calculations. Data sent to the services named in this policy is protected by those providers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in app features or legal requirements. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
